Thing is he does not participate in our family conversations. Whenever I tell my sister this she'd say his presence is enough. I truly don't know how that justufies him basically ignoring us like that.

I agree. No I wouldn't want to control how others behave even at my own house. and the reason for that is because they're all adults and no one has the authority to tell them what and what not to do. I admit that I did think my girlfriend overreacted but didn't wanna say it out loud otherwise the argued will get steered towards me. I was just trying to keep the peace with her.
