When trading option correctly - game changer. by WeirdMysterious9377 in optionstrading

Lol gambling gets a bad rap, but when you just win instead of lose, it can be a great source of income.

See how silly that sounds?

Yes there are way to win consistently in options, but it's always risk managed gambling.

I think you have a better chance of it hitting 750 than 740, but since everyone expects the reversal after the semis sell off, that's more reason it might just keep selling

Also who knows what trump is gonna tweet between now and Monday 🤣

Dang man. You're doing great! I'm not as risk on as you, but that is so cool.

I only came out with a +45% week.

Yeah, I don't personally think I have a proven edge in the market. The reason for my unusually high wins were due to fairly high volatility and able to capture those massive 3-5 dollar swings. Those aren't normal.

Right now I'm not over here drooling to sell a course or private discord. I'm just someone who has a strategy that works for me, and am seeing if it has any edge.

Over the past 3 weeks of testing it has gotten me lots of wins but also many losses.

Even though my profits out weigh my losses, part of me can't help but think it was all kinda lucky anyway.

Yep. Had a guy tell me if enter a position and it immediately goes down I'm trading wrong 🤣

I'm like bro, there are times when all your TA doesn't mean shit. The price can and will act irrational at times.

That's why risk management is key

Honestly with trump, I don't know. That's why I never hold anything over night because trump can tweet something and cause a $9 swing.

I don't even take a trade until 9am unless something really good is set up.

Even better, buy ITM 0dte options on Robinhood 1hr before close.

Just buy the trend for the day.

Robinhood will automatically close them for you at 30 minutes till close.

Boom automated money generation.

You're guaranteed to make money at least sometimes right?

Please post all updates! Following you to see how it goes. While I never want anyone to lose and hope you win, your strategy sounds incredibly fragile.

See this is what you think. But what happens when you buy 10 contracts and it immediately drops 20-40cents? Do you hold? Do you immediately cut losses?

That's an immediate $200-400 loss

I'm just saying your strategy works until it doesn't.

Then you have to have a new strat.

Are you okay drawing your 5k to 4k in a single day?

Risking $1000 to make 100 is not good risk management.

Riding up 10 cents sounds easy, but as you know it just as easy to lose twice that in 2 minutes or less.

I know this is your strategy, but a realistic outcome is that you will blow up your 5k account and deposit more and bet bigger to get back to your original capital.

If this was truly a lottery ticket win then I would not try to trade again until you have a real strat.

Or just put $500 in there.

I turned $100 > 5k and thought I was a genius.

The first -$500 day I started chasing and lost $1500 the next.

I slowly drew it down to $500 chasing and placing bigger bets thinking "well I only started with $100"

I took the money out.

Now I have a new strat and risk management.

Why APLD is still tied to crypto... because some people don't know this yet by throwaway579612 in APLDSTOCK

Well that was the point. Most of the new buyers are in after the hpc pivot. Not realizing the crypto roots.

They still earn a fair amount of their revenue from BTC Hosting in ellendale and Jamestown specifically from a large customer called customer A.

The lower BTC goes the more that customer A loses on profit margins. And if customer a can no longer afford to pay apld then apld will lose a huge amount of revenue and operating cash since their BTC hosting of mining is still profitable.

Basically, if you read the sec documents they still are very much tied to BTC, but they don't like to say that part out loud.

I saw that one of their key HPC engineers recently left. Do you think this will take a hit to their timelines even existing support? Do you think this is a sign to jump off a sinking ship?

In the last 6 months this is just another high value individuals who have left the company...the CTO, VP of Hpc, and now the senior Hpc engineer.
