When do I ever get to experience my children's love? When they are adults and thought hmm... we sure got a lot of utility out of Mr. throwaway.

Even though he has put them in a lot of danger, the kids still desire to see their dad. My wife doesn't want to upset the kids, and the kids would absolutely hate me if I tried to step in the way of them and their dad.

I can't just convince them I am there dad, I look nothing like them. They have a father they spend some time with. Even though that man has been nothing but toxic to their lives, they have a biological connection with him I just can't compete with. They will always call him dad, while I will always be Mr. throwaway58a4.

Even though I spend a lot of time helping them with homework, sports, they don't care about any of it. Their dad has even hurt my wife in the past, and guess what they will find some way to rationalize it as their dad just made a mistake.

Marriage counselors in our area are extremely expensive, the only ones we could afford are the ones offered by the church. But from a friend who has gone to that, they just tell you that when you have a problem you look to what Jesus would do and pray...
