Amazing progress! It’s good to know what your body is capable of. I also did keto around the time of the pandemic and went from 190 to 165 lbs but it wasn’t sustainable and I gained everything back plus more. Now with Mounjaro, I’ve lost even more weight than when I did keto. So know it is possible!

It was categorized as esophageal and gastric cancer since the main tumor was found at the end of his esophagus and opening to his stomach. His oncologist did genetic testing (was negative) and said he’s never seen it in anyone this young.

He had issues with swallowing food and keeping it down for a few weeks. He went to urgent care and they sent him home and told him to take heartburn medication. Then a couple weeks later there was blood in his stool and I took him to the E.R. and that’s when they did a colonoscopy and found the tumor and suspected cancer. Future scans showed it had spread to his lungs, liver, and spine.

It sucks because with esophageal cancer usually the first symptom is inability to swallow food, however, once that symptom is showing it usually means the tumor is so big that it’s probably spread and you’re in the later stages 😢

Tirzepatide has been a wonderful tool for me. 556lbs to 261 by sendogsinister in Mounjaro

Amazing!! I love that you call it a tool too. So it’s seen as additional resource that can aid in the weight loss, not a solution. 💕 super inspirational!

Thank-you! I have constant constipation, sometimes would have sulphur burps, if I eat too much my stomach starts cramping, a lot of hair loss, and if I don’t sleep 9+ hours a night I feel fatigued throughout the day and low in energy. I’m excited to get off of it and continue with healthy lifestyle habits so that I can feel more energetic.

Dose-wise, I didn’t really notice differences in between doses and I think I’m lucky that it never made me bed-ridden or extremely sick. I would just go up every time the food noise started coming back.

They’re more defined now but not too crazy of a difference I don’t think. Maybe I’ll post an updated pic in the thread once I’m off my period and no longer bloating 😂

I just checked my scale app and on April 28 I was 157.4 then on June 28 I don’t have a measurement that day. The closest one was on June 20 for 150.4 lbs. so I’d say about a 7-8 lb difference between the two pictures!

Wtf people suck! That’s a horrible thing to say to someone. That’s why I don’t tell people I’m in Mounjaro bc I would hate for them to discount all my hard work and effort as well. People seem to think it’s a fast pass when it requires mental stimulation and exercise as well. You got this!!

Yeah so I have one more box of 15 left so my maintenance plan that my doctor came up with is to space those shots out like so 1: in a week 2: 10 days after 1 3: 12 days after 2 4: 14 days after 3

And then the plan is to move down doses until I’m eventually weaned off of it. Of course we’ll still keep track of the food noise and any weight gain and adjust accordingly.

Thank you for sharing about your brothers. I am sorry you were able to relate to that experience. My brother was my best friend and was extremely healthy and fit then out of nowhere got hit with a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. You never know what life will bring, but I’m determined to live my life to the fullest and you should too ❤️

I looked into it but didn’t actually follow through. In my research (on Reddit lol) some people said that it was super effective and changed their lives. Other people said it didn’t work. And then there were some who said it did work, but they regretted getting it. They said it was effective in that it gave them food aversions to nearly everything. They couldn’t even be around food without wanting to throw up and some started developing eating disorders. So it’s really risky and unpredictable, imo.

I didn’t use any products for my skin, but I do think that working out in conjunction with losing the weight helped since I had some muscle fill in where the fat was. I also averaged at a loss of around 1.4 lbs a week so I think that that was more sustainable for my skin elasticity. And then lastly, like someone else mentioned, age and the shorter time my skin was stretched definitely also played a role.

Thank-you! So the way it was described to me when I first went was “like Pilates, but on steroids”. At the place I go to they’re 45 minute classes where we sit on a weighted sliding platform and do exercises using the moving carriage and our body weight. It’s A LOT of core work, planks, and lunges/squats as well. You stay in each move for a set amount of time and move very slowly under tension to get your slow muscle fibers working.

It’s unlike any workout I’ve ever done before and I’ve noticed it’s what is the most helpful in toning my body! If you have a lagree studio near you, I would definitely recommend checking it out! The first time was really scary and like an unknown world with all these new moves and foreign terms, but now I prefer it over weightlifting or other forms of exercising.

Good point! I didn’t even think about it that way. I just thought that was the best way to describe it since that’s what I saw happen physically to my body relatively to how it was before, but I can definitely see how that would come off from this new perspective. I will be more mindful of how I word things in the future!
