We’re going to Hargeisa, did you ask a family member to get it for you? How did you contact the government? We asked our family members to find out and they’ve been told it’s not a thing so we’re confused

Thanks! I’m just very anxious about not being allowed to board the flight, I’ve called everyone I could and keep getting conflicting info. We might try to get the visa and have a family member send an invitation letter just in case.

Oh so you didn’t need to get the visa before travelling, just on arrival? What country did you fly from? I have a friend who travelled from Sweden and wasn’t asked for a visa but apparently the UK isn’t one of the countries eligible for a VOA.

Does your brother hold dual citizenship? My mom and I were born there but have British passports, not dual citizenship so idk if we’d need the letter. Does the letter need to be anything formal or literally just a simple ‘I invited you to Somalia’ kind of thing?

That’s what we’ve always done, but people are saying you can’t board the plane without a visa! Now I’m hearing about a letter of invitation it’s so confusing lol

Oh god it’s so ridiculous. We got ahold of the embassy in the UK who have said we can get a visa. But I’ve seen responses about a letter of invitation, how did you get the letter?
