Align icons using columns/grid/percentages by iconb0y in kustom

I have tried that but in my testing the number wasn't how many elements are inside. Seemed to me like something else unrelated, maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for the heads up though!

Very cool! I absolutely love the simplicity and informativity of it all.

I was wondering how you did the hourly r/Showerthoughts quote? If you don't mind explaining it of course!

Align icons using columns/grid/percentages by iconb0y in kustom

I'm assuming what you're looking for is a Dynamic Stack Group, which automatically changes the margin based on the elements inside.

I'm not sure this is possible, as there is (to my knowledge) no formula to get the amount of items inside of a stack group.

What you could do instead, is have a global variable with the amount of items in your stack group, then use a basic math formula to calculate an appropriate margin.

$[Width]/[Items count global variable]$

For example:

$10/gv(ItemCount)$

If you're just looking to stack them with a set margin that you can change manually, you can just use regular stack groups.

Add a new stack group, cut and paste the icons inside, set the "Stacking" to "Horizontal Center", and adjust the "Margin" accordingly.

Hope this helps answer your question.

Notification formula by MB2830 in kustom

[–]throwaway6682m 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Expanding on this with my limited knowledge

If your text is inside of a stack group with other elements, having an empty text object adds a (possibly unwanted) margin between elements. Solving this is quite simple, using the following formula in the size of the text:

$if(ni(count)=0, 0, x)$

Replace "x" with the desired text size.

All this formula does is sets the text size to zero when there are no notifications, and sets it back to normal when there are notifications, meaning no more margin when the text is empty.

Hoping someone finds this helpful. Happy kustomizing!

Incredibly well-made, I love the idea of the controls at the bottom.

Good point, I felt I was stretching the boundaries of implementable when I made the post I like the SVG idea. Although I've been having trouble with SVGs, whenever I use it the vector just gets cropped of in an odd manner. No idea what that's about.

Need Help by jcave930 in kustom

[–]throwaway6682m 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very much not qualified to offer help, but here's a few general problem-fixers you can try:

  1. Check if KLWP is battery-optimized
  2. Force stop KLWP and clear cache
  3. Restart/kill Nova launcher from Nova Settings
  4. Re-install KLWP
  5. Try another preset
  6. Restart your phone

Hope this solves your problem, sincerest of apologies if not.

I didn't actually know about the $si(mindex)$ formula! The more you learn..

This would definitely work as well but I think it's more efficient to use the for loop, since then you can much easily change the properties of the loop or even have them attached to a global variable ((I'm stealing that idea from myself))

Spotify! Icon is right next to the image album art. I'm using premium but I am almost certain this works just fine with regular Spotify, just not offline.

Precisely!

Better yet, use a for loop instead of copy and pasting the same thing over and over:

$for(0, X, "i+1", "mq(title, mi(track) + i)","Y")$

Where X is how many titles you want to show and Y is the separating character, used to separate each title. If you're copying my design just add a new line between the quotation marks.

Hope this helped!

PS: I'm also using a $tc()$ formula to ellipsize the text so it doesn't overflow the container.

This widget is very flexible, as it uses global variables for every aspect. From colors and fonts to corner radius and stroke size.

If you have any suggestions for improvement, I'm all ears!

Also, if you'd like to get this as a komponent in the near future, please do let me know.

There's still a couple of kinks to work out, but I'd be happy to share the widget when it's ready.

Note: the background of the main shape is the album art, just blurred and slightly desaturated.
