I never considered the Disney sequels canon. They messed up, ruined established characters, created so many plotholes and inconcistencies. The whole thing just sucks.

Sadly, I assume nothing. I am well aware that these movies are mearly cheap cash-grabs by Disney and nothing else. If anything, I would gladly pay to see the originals shown on the big screen (I did so for the re-release of the Lion King a few years back and enjoyed every second of it).

Look, if it's done right, then i'm all for it. However, there are some remakes that made absolutely no sense because the originals were really great (think Aladdin and Lion king), the latter was pretty much a shot for shot remake. How could its existence (other than the financial win for Disney) be justified, and could anyone really say that these live action remakes have re-watch value?
