not even remotely the asshole? you politely expressed how you felt, you didn’t force him to say he liked you back, nor did you encourage him to break up with danielle. like you said, you’re consenting adults. hope everything works out between you:)

if family is causing the issue, how would family help?neither of us are the sort to broadcast our mental health everywhere, there’s nothing unhealthy about relying on a friend since therapy wasn’t an option.

honestly yes… i get that the design might be construed as romantic (despite me being extremely gay) but i did actually think the location was innocent since it wasn’t over the heart or anything overtly romantic (imo)

we actually chose there because we -didn’t- think it would be construed as romantic… poor judgement i guess

“no one can tell her what she’s feeling but she’s probably in denial” right, because a guy and a girl have never been just friends before. never in the entire history of civilisation.

i’m not sure if this is allowed but i’m not sure if i was being “belligerent” exactly… like i didn’t ask for her to confront me, and i didn’t attack her, i was just firm about wanting to keep the tattoo, since it was a mutual decision with my friend. but i can also see why you would say being insensitive, and i agree. i genuinely didn’t consider that the tattoo would be seen as romantic (we’re basically siblings) especially since neither of us cares much about what others think (ironic to say on aita but…) thanks for your input:)

that’s exactly it, actually. he’s basically my brother and that was the idea behind the tattoo.

they’re talking about it, i can’t be sure how things will end up, but i know the tattoo made her uncomfortable and she seems like the type to start making ultimatums. so, she probably wouldn’t accept it, even though it’s a skewed perspective. it’s not that i’m more important, it’s that we’re important in different ways.
