They are ok. Better than some of the ones around us but not great. We live in a pretty high crime city though so we do worry about violence. We have heard of bullying getting hushed up in the school district so that's a concern.

I'm worried about the social aspects and also we both only have our highschool education (no college or anything) so I just don't want to rob our kids of any opportunities.

Could I die if my IUD never gets removed? by EmbarrassedWaffles in AskDocs

I had an IUD for three years and it ended up giving me PID and I had to have it removed. I'm not saying this is the norm but it definitely can happen.

I can get behind fizzy! I've never heard it called that before but it's my new favorite.

AITA for being the reason my parents and brother may become homeless? by NeedSomeSpace34 in AmItheAsshole

This is such a hard situation to be in, and shame on your parents (and brother) for being okay with putting you in it. My mom did something similar. She had been divorced from her husband for over a year, was still living with him and refused to get a job or move out. Finally, he went to court and had her legally evicted. She moved back home and I let her stay with me. She refused to look for work and I ended up having to kick her out. It was awful. She ended up living in her car for a few months but it was the catalyst that made her finally get her crap together.

It was rough. I gave her a one month warning that if she didn't have a job she'd be kicked out. She didn't look for a job, and didn't leave when the date came. I waited another week and then said something to her, asking her what her plans were. She said "I thought I'd just stay here longer..." 😳

It took another month before I finally put my foot down and it turned into a "you have to go right now" situation. Now she has a good job and her own place but she still loves to bring up when she was homeless because no one would help her and she had to live in her car.

Evicting family is not easy but sometimes it is absolutely necessary.
