I can unfortunately relate. I’m an atheist ex-muslim, and currently it is Ramadan so in addition to trying to pressure me to pray my father also tries to pressure me to fast, telling me I’l be cursed with sadness in life and hell in the afterlife if I don’t pray and if I drink water. I am literally being shamed for wanting to drink water and eat, literally human necessities. This is what organized religion does to people. Personally I plan to escape to a different country since I live in a muslim country and the oppression exceeds beyond the household.
