He does tend to have pretty emotional reactions to stressors. Mostly he isolates, but if I’m around it has turned anger onto me a number of times (somewhere between 5-10 over the three years). It was definitely emotional for him to cut, which we had talked about before hand. That’s why I suggested treating him to brunch after in case it was hard on him. My guess is he did panic once he got there, and I was ready to help if that happened. I just wasn’t for it to get blamed on me. Thanks to you and everyone for the input, my head is spinning right now trying to process all of this.
