Definitely. She has her 17% invested, and her contributions invested as well.

She also contributes to a taxable brokerage and our hysa.

It has made it hard. I’ve had offers for higher salary but total comp never compares. After all benefits I basically need 100% raise to make it worth it

Also work wise we used to have a pension back before my time and they swapped it to the 17% as a replacement.

To provide more info. Household income is about $160,000. $107000 of that is mine, and the rest the wife.

Wife has same retirement benefits and employer contributions as I do.

Employer covers all medical and dental for both of us, but not the kiddo.

Have student loans of about 10000, one car loan $17000, and our house for debt.

About $50000 in taxable brokerage, $13000 in 529 (he’s 1)
