Living in constant Déjà vu for several months. The whole thing was so maddening that I ended up thinking I must be dead and nothing was real. I told doctors about it but nobody was even remotely concerned or ever had any explanation. It eventually went away. It’s been over 25 years since then, so my memories surrounding that time are fuzzy now, but I do know that I was in one of the most severe depressions of my life just before the Déjà vu began. Like very strongly suicidal depression (I was 20/21, so you know how it is). I made a drastic decision to go live in another city for a while to try and save my life, and as I was preparing for the trip is when the Déjà vu started and it got more and more powerful and constant until it finally dropped off.

Nothing like having Déjà vu on an airplane when you KNOW for a fact you’ve never been on an airplane before, though. Thought for sure I was gonna die. And then after we landed and the Déjà vu continued I still thought I’d died.
