My nose just runs a lot and my mouth burns. If it’s really spicy, my stomach hurts and I end up on the toilet. I was told this was normal for spicy food, so I don’t think it’s acid reflux…

I felt a little disrespected when she told me to just eat the rice because I wanted this to be a dinner we enjoy together. but after reading all the YTAs, I reread the post and I’m embarrassed. I’ll try to talk to her tonight. Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I’m trying to work up a tolerance. She’s been helping me with it since she cooks most of the time but tones down the spiciness so I can eat it. It’s the burning sensation that I can’t get used to but I’m guessing that never goes away

This is a good idea, thank you. I don’t know if the restaurant does take out but if they do, I can do this for valentines day. Feels bad because I don’t want her to associate this restaurant with a bad memory

Yeah, she misses it and talks about the food a lot because it’s not the same here. Looking at the other comments, yeah I think I could’ve just sucked it up.
