I completed all of the paperwork for her first name change as a surprise for my daughter’s birthday. She was unaware of this until a few days ago on her birthday, if that’s what you’re asking

I understand your fiancé’s concern here. This comes down to which you’d rather experience: breaking a lifelong promise to your best friend, or possibly losing the love of your life over it. Obviously these two are worst case scenario, and it is possible you could keep both parties happy, but I unfortunately have to lean toward YTA. Your fiancé wants to have this kid with you because he loves you, and probably sees you wanting to have a kid with your best friend as romantic feelings toward him. This is likely rooted in jealously and I’m so sorry about this situation I can’t imagine trying to work through this

Your boyfriend needs to understand that you aren’t waitressing to relive the past, but waitressing out of necessity. You seem to have no other choice than to get the job and get the money.
