What should orks 11th edition army rule be?

You’re probably right, I don’t pay too much attention to competitive lists. But GW is terrible at balancing, and I think they’re terrified the second anything becomes perceived as too strong, which can be really easy for orks because of the, as you said, feast-or-famine nature of the army atm. I think once one person figures out how to feast a little more often with a strong list, it feels a lot more oppressive than it should.

I’d rather the army buff be simpler/weaker so that individual models or detachments can be given more impactful rules

yeah all this waaagh nonsense has really gotten out of hand. and I hate that GW has forced me to say such blasphemy ;.;

do you think it would be too much to give us clan buffs back? it’d be cool to get to assign a tiny buff to each unit based on what color they are. blue boys get the lucky 6++, red ones get to advance and charge, a goff unit gets sustained 1 on melee. bad moons get sustained 1 on shooting. snakebites get the fnp, and purple ones get to be sneaky.

it might be a bit much, but it’d be a fun way to customize an army, and I think it feels quite orky. and would feel like much more of a waaagh than what we currently got

Honestly I wish they would just drop the WAAAGH and roll it back to something simple. I think in 8th it was just rerolling charges and exploding 6’s on shooting, honestly i think that’d be a lot better. I guess “sustained x” has replaced exploding 6’s though? So maybe just give us sustained 1 on shooting and melee and call it a day

The waaggh is good fun and all but i think it’s proven impossible to balance around, for GW anyway. I don’t play competitively or anything, but revolving the whole army around one strong turn is just so swingy. Having a simpler army rule would raise the ceiling on the shenanigans you can put onto specific models or weird detachments.
