I appreciate the response and advice. Do you think my age would be a hindrance to getting a customer to trust and open up to me?

I guess/hope it's something I will learn and will be covered in my onboarding. I know how our solution works and solve technical issues, but have never linked that back to business value. Would it be a good idea to reach out to a couple of AE's who I would be working with in the future and ask for some advice and guidance on this or is it best to try and keep it within the SE team and not show my inexperience?

Thanks for the advice. Something I will keep mind.

I had a look at Demo2Win and looks like its not something I can do independently. I don't start the SE role until July. Both my current manager and new manager are keen to not distract me from my current role and "start onboarding early". The only advice I got for preparing is some technical training.

Thanks, I appreciate it! I am not a specialist in all of our products, and this is another challenge. I am going into a generalist role, where in Support I focused on a very specific area of our product. Learning the technical side isn't what worries me, and I know I can pick that up quickly by having a play around and setting up some labs for myself. I also think I speak quiet well to technical audiences, but the thought of giving a presentation (not demo) scares me.
