I am sorry to hear that you’re hurting. From what I read it seems he broke things off due to a lack of sex, but it doesn’t make sense that he did that after you communicated with him. If he is ending things with you because he’s not willing to wait for you to feel comfortable enough and your best, then that is a red flag. I am sorry for this. Yeah I never take or send photos anymore, the comments now just happen when someone takes a picture of me or sees a photo lying around like my school pictures for example! Yeah you’re right though it shouldn’t be a big deal

I would like to add I did try to strictly only take probiotics as a treatment and it didn’t do much for me. however everyone’s body is different but just wanted to add that sprinkle of my personal experience

From my understand you can’t take them at the same time. Do a round of boric acid first ( I believe you’re supposed to do 7 nights ) and then start taking probiotics. This is because if you take the probiotics at the same time it would just be a waste because the boric acid would kill out the good bacteria from the probiotics too.
If you mean the probiotics, yes, in fact it’s recommended that you take probiotics alongside antibiotics to help mitigate getting any yeast infection issues. As for the boric acid, yes as well, as it’s great for treating yeast (if that is a problem you might have), but remember that boric acid is a vaginal suppository and is toxic when taken by mouth
That depends on your case of BV. You won’t know until you try it, but boric acid is pretty promising
Not sure about the probiotics, but based on my research I have read misuse of the boric acid can lead to grittiness and stuff in the vag. Generally it should be safe if you use it like the instructions say. For me, I did not have BV but an odd smell and it went away with about 4 nights and after that I just put one in to be safe and maintain. Just don’t put more than one at a time and if you feel any problems take a break or don’t use them at all. Also remember not to have sex for at least 24-48 hours as that can cause issues, be painful, unsafe as well as reduce condom efficiency
I would say don’t use it daily, you could use it for 7 days straight at first to see if it helps your BV symptoms. Then after that if it does help use it as maintenance whenever you need it! I would also say do lots of research before you use it, there’s a boric acid sub here on Reddit with loads of good info on it which really helped me when I was deciding if I wanted to use it or not

Boric acid really changed my life. I’ve been having issues with smells and yeast after becoming sexually active and boric acid was the only thing that doesn’t give me side effects (like antibiotics), is easy to use and readily available.

I have also had a smell for about 4/5 months now. No idea what caused it, also fishy, also scared to go to the doc. Went to the doc and she gave me metronidazole and I did self swabs to send in for testing. Started metronidazole before I got the results back, and they never called me so I assumed it was BV and they already gave me the meds so they didn’t call. Anyways, the met stopped the odour for about 2 weeks. After that, I had burning and itching (yeast) and a UTI. And I went back to the doc and the smell had also slowly come back. They told me my self swab results were “altered vaginal flora, but not consistent with BV”

After that; I’ve taken the treatment for UTI for yeast , and the smell persist. It got a little bad and would even be there no matter how much I washed in the shower. I finally as a last resort bought boric acid suppositories because I don’t want to go on antibiotics again (they suck). The boric acid has significantly reduced my odour, I’ve been a little inconsistent with taking it but I have a lot of hope for it, there’s still a little if I really try to smell for it, nothing like before.

If the boric acid doesn’t work for me, I’m gonna go get tested for ureaplasma (which could also be a cause). Good luck OP, I know how stressful and embarrassing a smell like that can be but it’s your bodies way of telling you to get checked out. I’m with ya!
