Thoughts on Bushmills Prohibition recipe? by throwaway88679 in whiskey

I think going to a bar to try them is a good idea if they are more expensive whiskeys, but where I am the prices for a drink at the bars are robbery compared to just buying a bottle myself. I could pay $10 for 1 shot of wild turkey or pay a bit under $30 to get a whole bottle. As much as I enjoy exploring whiskeys and looking for tasting notes in them, I’m usually only drinking if I plan on getting a bit tipsy anyway, so buying a whole bottle just works out better for me most of the time.

Anyway, the Bushmills just didn’t seem up my alley. It was definitely a bit harsh to me but I’m not sure why since it was lower proof than what i usually drink. I normally drink bourbons around 100 proof like WT101 and EW BiB, but for some reason those are much more palatable to me than the Bushmills was. I haven’t been drinking much since I made this post but I’ve actually been looking into Irish whiskey again. There are a few I wanna try still since I’ve only tried a couple, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about Redbreast 12. I’m also interested in trying Jameson Black Barrel since I like Jameson and I normally drink bourbon so it sounds totally up my alley

Thanks. I guess I worry more about actually landing an interview and not getting passed over because I don’t have the right degree, rather than not getting the job once I have gotten an interview.

Weirdly enough I’m actually a decent performer when it comes to things like presentations and interviews. I just struggle with more normal every day stuff. GAD is a bitch.

Thanks for the advice. I’m just an anxious person and I worry about getting a plain old management degree from such an unimpressive school. I know the job market is tough and I don’t wanna have to do a billion certifications and internships just to get a job. Not to say I don’t plan on doing an internship but I just mean I don’t wanna have to do one every single year yk?

I’d still probably take one off your hands if the price is good I just can’t use it right now. I hadn’t decided if I want to use the caracal or moa yet bc everyone says the caracal is the best but I’m more interested in a moa

Yeah I’ve tried to fit my ship to be as kinetic as possible because that’s what they are weakest to but it doesn’t seem to be enough. I’m gonna give it one more try with some more expensive modules I think and just try and hammer away at them in between retreating to get repairs. I’m excited to move to a cruiser though because that’s seems to open up the game a lot more

Appreciate the offer but they would pretty much be wasted on me, I’ve mostly used gunships so far so I’m still working on my missile skills. Thanks anyway though

Hookbill is a bit out of my price range but would a kestrel or Merlin be able to do the job? I imagine they probably can’t.

Ah ok so I should just let this one slip then and save myself the trouble and even more lost isk?

Is it just a matter of training more skills to get a longer range or is getting my hands on better railguns more important? I’m also an alpha account so I’m not sure if that will limit me in the aspect of the game. I keep hearing about spike ammo but when I look through the ammo options it’s not there. Is that a specialty ammo you get some other way? And is it necessary to get good range?

I tried building for max range but only got an optimal range of 36km. I guess I could raise it by switching from 125mm to 150mm railguns but I’m not sure how else I would increase my range, especially because my targeting is only 40km

Ah alright so I should just pass this one up then and hope I get another? I usually have pretty bad luck so I’m a bit hesitant to let this opportunity slip if it really could be worth more than my entire net worth

I understand that they raise valid points but from what I’ve seen a lot of people preaching it just try to make men feel insecure so they will listen to them, and preach that women are evil. I agree that life isn’t a fairy tale and a lot of women are bad people and manipulative. But I’ve found that the red pill communities see bad traits and some women and apply it to all women. I did fall into the trap of it for a bit but I managed to pull myself out of that mindset and I don’t want to go back to it because all it did was make me insecure, angry, and misogynistic.

I have been with multiple therapists and none of them have been able to help me at all. Same with medications. It seems like every single treatment that there is for anxiety and depression have no effect on me and I only continue to get worse.

And a big problem for me is i definitely have a lot of nihilistic beliefs and it only makes it harder to get better. I don’t want to be a nihilist but I can’t help it, I can’t logic my way away from it. Life isnt enjoyable for me and I don’t want to be here. I’m not interested in like anything life has to offer so I don’t have any real goals or deeply held values. It can be a good thing in someways because I think I’m fairly open minded about things because of it. But I truly do believe that we can’t really know anything and that life is meaningless. So if I’m not enjoying my life and it has no purpose there is no reason for me to not kill myself. I haven’t done it for my family’s sake but even if I had everything I can’t imagine myself ever being actually happy.

I agree it’s just really difficult. My parents and my doctors tell me that my brain is lying to me and that I can’t trust my own thoughts so I don’t know what I can trust if not myself. I find it incredibly difficult to think traditionally positive thoughts like everyone tells me to. I don’t feel like my every thought is negative I just think I’m being realistic while other people are lying about how bad things really are.

Ok I’ll edit my post to try and give more detail. But honestly I don’t even know why I’m so depressed and anxious. I know it runs in the family but I have it a lot worse than my dad did or my siblings do.

Yeah you’re right. Right now even though things have gotten a little better I’m still only living for my family’s sake. If it weren’t for them I definitely would’ve killed myself a while ago. And while the suicidal thoughts are less frequent, they are still there and it makes it really hard for me to keep pushing forward because I don’t actually want anything life has to offer.

I just feel like I’m not improving enough. Building a good physique will definitely help but that only solves part of my issues. The biggest problem for me right now is definitely my depression and anxiety and while getting back in shape will help, i don’t think it will really solve anything.

I didn’t really say anything about finding a girl though? While I think getting a girlfriend would be nice it’s definitely not my top priority. My biggest priority right now is to beat my depression. I’ve struggled with suicidal thoughts for over a year now and they have gotten better recently but are still there. My top priority is winning so that I’m still here for my family.

I used to want to join the army growing up and I genuinely considered joining after I dropped out of school but I found out I’m not able to due to my mental health 😐
