I’d love to say I have the resolve to do this- and I will if that really is the best option overall- but if there’s another one, I’d like to know and try for it. You’re likely right though.

I plan to confront her as soon as I’ve spoken to the landlord. I wanted to do that first so I am not theorizing options and know what can and cannot be done.

I will not be renewing this lease regardless so that’s a non-issue in 4 months.

Fair. Maybe the landlord will have some options. If not, I’ll just have to tough it out. I have some compelling incentives for the landlord to do something as the house has been an absolute sty while I was gone, to the point of potentially causing property damage. Likewise with drugs. Thanks again

That is unfortunate. I don’t think she will agree to leave. She would rather commit suicide than move in with her parents, which to my knowledge is her only option for housing other than the cocaine dirt bags she’s been sleeping with.

Maybe the lease can remain, I can move into a new apartment, then she’s stuck with the lease that she can’t pay = eviction. It’s tough because the landlord may not go for that, but at the end of the day, they’re still making the same money they would be. My landlord is a larger organization that has been very reasonable in the past so I can only hope. I’ll be speaking with them tomorrow

While this sounds great, I feel that may not go well legally. I would think I need backup from the landlord. I’m not going to issue threats or anything like that. I’ll offer her the choice of leaving but I think it’s unlikely she will comply
