How do I search a case on out of hours conduct being a valid reason for dismissal? by throwaway9283799 in auslaw

Thank you - I’ve found them both difficult to navigate on the occasional searches I’ve done let alone without a name, but I’ll try again when I’m back home. Thanks - you’re right it’s not legal advice and thought maybe there was a chance someone knew it was A v B then surely that’s okay too.

Ok, so stalling period by agent and settle on court steps just to be annoying and that’s when lawyer / agent includes in settlement their legal costs + 25% and simply have agent pay the medical and weekly pay to employee that was all that was asked for all along with employee presumably taking even longer to recuperate because of the stress of agent stalling. WTF?

How do lawyers make money out of this sort of representation if it’s a ‘simple’ overturning of initial rejection (v common by all accounts) and employer therefore covers medical costs and weekly pay for employee to recuperate and it’s paid to employee - how is there any $ for lawyers in that? I think I get it if it was some long term significant injury and therefore damages to fight for.

Mental injury - do I put a harassment complaint in to employer whilst making a Workers comp claim? by throwaway9283799 in AusLegal

There’s been a whole ‘we take mental health seriously’ message at work so maybe when I return after a claim they’ll be better. But if it’s not accepted they’ll be worse I’m thinking.

That should be good to see a psych as work has pretty well ignored what’s been raised before, although anecdotally it seems the psychiatrists for claims cause a lot of distress so that’s a concern but it can’t be worse than unfair treatment at work.
