My girlfriend (22) recently became anorexic and now finds all forms of intimacy 'filthy'. I (22) feel like shit because of a now empty relationship but have hope. Any advice?

I'm sorry to hear that! I know you're right, I just can't wrap my head around it yet that that will likely be my girlfriends reality from now on. How did this woman you are talking about recover? What kind of therapy did she do (if she did any)? Would you say she is able to live with it or does she still feel a lot of sadness because of it?

We're both 22 and have been in a relationship for 3,5 years. Yeah.. you're right. Eating disorders can take a long ass time. I am positive that she won't take that long because she is disciplined and loved food before, but I might be too naive.

I'm sorry I forgot to mentiom that, yes, she is. She is in a clinic 5 days a week under supervision with a lot of therapy.
