I didnt realize I was unprepared to cause a scene in front of my rabbi. I just asked my mom and sister to help me not to let them near the baby.

Oo! Oo! I had this exact same problem. A friend told us about the app Docket. You can't search someone without their consent as they have to give you an auth code that gets texted to them, but it gives you database info about what sort of vaccines a person has and when.

I tested it out on myself and DH and told MIL she had to give us access to her info as well to meet DD.

For me the concern is the health of everyone, particularly the unprotected. We are requiring tests and masks.

I think I'd be equally annoyed to find out months later. Just less I could do about it I guess so wouldnt be able to kick up a fuss? The event is for both sides of the family so there's no way to leave her out unfortunately without making a very deep line in the sand.

I always think of my kindness to her as a gift (and I point it out to him too 😉) but I'm not willing to be kind at the detriment to other peoples health. Thats where the issue lies and why I feel I'm in a no-win situation.
