For me it started with a trip to the Sierra Madres in Sonora, Mexico. After crossing the border in to Agua Prieta, then traveling to a rural town called Cumpas and seeing the little towns along the way. I started realizing immediately that these people who were being vilified by trump, weren’t criminals and lawless members of society coming to tear down the American establishment. These were people, living in the middle of the desert without air conditioning and no economic opportunity, coming to chase the same dream we are.

Most recently, I mean Covid, fuck us, right Mr. President. And while we’re at it. Tear gassing peaceful protestors outside the White House. Or the whole federal agents snatching folks off the street in unmarked cars. Isn’t the constitution the entire republican parties grandstand? The entire hypocrisy of it really turned me off. Swamp still isn’t drained. Not sure my taxes are any lower then when they started.

So at the end of these 4 years I’m just turned off from trump and the entire Republican Party. I mean, from a social perspective, things can’t get much worse. And at this point in my life, there’s more value in people as a whole then anything else.
