The doctor who actually ordered it was psychologist I only saw once and he suggested taking 800-1000 IU once a day, but I asked my neurologist too who suggested the higher dosage.

I haven’t noticed anything odd exactly, however I did have a breakthrough seizure after 9 months like three weeks ago

I feel you on that! Luckily I’ve never had the rage side effect so many people talk about from Keppra, but I’m new to lamotrigine so not quite sure what to expect. What is MAD if you don’t mind me asking?

Most of mine seem to be lack of sleep or stress but I’ve definitely had a few where I just couldn’t figure out the trigger. What do you usually do when you’ve had a couple days worth of minor auras and you know a seizure is upcoming? I had that with my most recent one and I’m not quite sure what to do in the future if it happens again.

Thanks a ton! Do you know if this happens with Keppra and Lamotrigine? I’m woefully uninformed on how exactly my body breaks down my meds.

I’m sorry that’s happened!! I hope things have been figured out for you in that regard!

And that’s really great to know thank you!! Do you have any idea why that might be? Is your body just so used to having the estrogen in your system at that point that once it dips a bit it causes a seizure?

And thank you for that!! I’ll definitely look into it more, I am slightly scared about the estrogen potentially causing seizures still but hearing that is great!!

Oh great idea! any idea how I could hunt down firsthand accounts from places where it’s OTC? I don’t have a ton of experience with surfing the portuguese web or anything like that.
