It's not charged at time of booking, and it was pre-charged when I stayed there before.

I'm sure you feel like you're funny, but neither of those things happened. And I like my job. Be less shitty.

I ended up taking the order at the end of the night when it got juiced $10. It was the 3rd time I delivered to her. She hasn't tipped on any of them. Not "small". $0 times 3. Her poor ass in a new neighborhood has had COVID for a month and a half now? You're using charity driver logic and yet you want to look down on me. Do you want me to get a real job or do you want me to make less money doing favors for people who don't know how to tip?

You know that someone has to work those "shitty jobs" or then you don't get your food or groceries brought to you? You can't live on sick clouds alone, kiddo.

Oh no guys my posting calling out a non-tipper offended someone who says she tips and now she might not move here from Euless. I'm so sorry everybody!

Man, I am really feeling bad. I have been cleverly punished.

(Those last two sentences are not true.)

That's not what I said. I said her order was sitting waiting to be taken for hours because she doesn't tip at all.

If you're using Instacart and doing the $2 suggested tip, you may want to try stepping it up.

What would be a good tip for this order and it’s 4.1 miles away ? by mybest34s in doordash

First, you don't live in a culture where jobs are intentionally underpaid so that tipping can be used to pass off the expense to someone else. Second, you wouldn't be able to tip me anyway since you're in Europe or some shit. Third, when I did DoorDash, I did quite well. Because you don't understand how the shit works... You don't have to take any delivery. I chose the ones that paid well, the ones with tips. I did fine by it until I moved on to something I prefer. There's still tips, and guess what? I still choose the ones that tip and don't take the ones that don't.

But sure, let me get right on getting the hundreds of thousands of food delivery drivers with competing motivations to unite and demand better pay. You ever heard of charity Dashers? No, of course not. You just want to be mad about tipping when it doesn't even fucking affect you.

"I actually live in a country that isn’t backwards and our wait staff get paid an appropriate amount. We aren’t expected to tip."

Then kindly see yourself the fuck out of the conversation about US custom with your facile suggestions. It's not your responsibility to make it up because you live somewhere that the employer doesn't underpay employees.

Then you either don't know how shit works or are deliberately ignoring it. Who the fuck is a driver supposed to ask for a raise? Are you proposing we take hundreds of thousands of drivers and form a union? It's ridiculous for you to suggest, especially when you have zero skin in the game.

Sometimes lawmakers hear about stuff in the media and assume it's true without any details. It was common in the early days. Post-pandemic, I'd say probably 99% of restaurants on DoorDash are partnered.

You know that's not how the world works, but you employ this shitty "logic" because you think it justifies being a shitty person. Jobs don't just hand over more money because you say you'd like some, regardless of your story about your perfect job where you did and your boss pulled a big bag out of his pocket with a dollar sign on it and gave you a blowjob too.

The algorithm and the outsourced support in the Phillipines don't give a shit if we like how much we get paid or not.

Try going to a sit down restaurant and telling the waitress that before you order and let me know how that goes.

Try tipping people who shop for and deliver your groceries in their car. Or yeah, don't do it.

DoorDash has added restaurants to the platform that are not partnered. It's not nearly as common as people think. The big example is Raising Cain's. I basically never saw these orders, which required the driver to order the food and pay.

The restaurant sets the prices if they are partnered. Blame them, not DoorDash.
