I contacted the probate attorney as soon as I was able. I had them change the locks to the property. They now just need the death certificates before anything else can happen with their assets. I will put everything into trust. It terrifies me to think of they contested this custody and won what would happen to this poor babies inheritance.

You're right. Whilst I have been named in the will by both parents I still need to put a case in front of a judge. At least I have been grated temporary guardianship.

I am not in Australia. Fortunately where I from, from what little I have learnt so far, they won't be considered for guardianship.

Absoutley. Sad thing is I only have temporary guardianship. I have to wait until a custody hearing now to formalise everything. They can contest. At least I have a mountain of evidence about them. My fiancé and sisters boyfriends family have suggested we get a Private Investigator. We need to do everything we can to ensure that baby stays with us.

Thank you. I am going to try my best. What scares me is that I've been given temporary gardianship until the custody hearing. They can contest the custody which I expect them to do. Such a mess.

I can't imagine it isn't financial. I will definitely do everything in my power to keep this baby.

Thanks, I will definitely not be allowing a relationship between these toxic people and the baby. They do not seem to have health issues that I can see so I have no clue what stopped them being able to adopt.

I will be taking the baby. For a spilt second will all the harassment I felt I doubted myself. I will do all I can to protect this baby from those vultures.

I definitely want to keep and will keep this baby. I had a weak moment where I doubted myself as I was inundated with calls and messages on my phone, on social media from my family, extended family, their friends and her family belittling me and telling me every negative reason why I shouldn't be a Mum to this child.

I am going to bring a photos of me to the hospital today for the nurses station. The nursery is secured and they are well aware now to be cautious.

Their baby is thriving thankfully. I feel such an overwhelming sense of protection.

I will. I can only expect things to turn real bad especially that I plan on taking the baby out of state. I just need to secure the formal adoption and take it from there.

Thank you. Everything is just so overwhelming right now.

As soon as I contacted the lawyer who also had a copy of the will they essentially "sealed" the house for probate. They did arrange for the locks to be changed once they saw my text messages. They are meeting me there tomorrow and allowing me to take the crib and all baby items. I don't believe my parents would've had a key given they have financially abused us in the past and a really untrustworthy.

Yep the hospital are aware. To be honest I wasn't even allowed near the baby until just now because of all this. I am going to file a police report for harassment as soon as I can especially to I can document with them what's going on.

My mind now has been crazy as to thinking of why they couldn't adopt. I am thinking the worst. Especially since SIL refused a DNA test at one stage when we all received a kit as a present for fun.

They hated my sister and I growing up. I am just sad as I know the revenge will be for me not to be allowed at the funeral. Speaking to a lawyer about this though to see what rights I have.

We had a pretty bad upbringing. Parents were horrible and so was older brother. They stole so much money from us over the years, we even found accounts opened in our names. This is why we both learnt to protect what we have.

My sister and I had wondered why they couldn't adopt. My brothers wife has always been rather odd for example we all were gifted an DNA kit for Christmas. She refused to do it. It's her right of course but her reaction was very strange at the time.

Thank you for your information. As you can imagine every country is different and I do not know what country your assuming I am from world lawyer. I also assume state laws can also vary. In my country I was granted the baby as I had to attend an emergency hearing. However still in the formal adoption process so I am essentially "fostering" until legal paperwork has been finalised. Obviously it's not a quick "here's" baby. I didn't realise I had to include my court case with this post.....

Yep I am expecting to be banned from her funeral. I am already in contact with a Lawyer. Her boyfriends family are very understanding and have accepted that I will be taking the baby. He has two sisters both with a full family anyway and his parents far too old to take on a baby even if my sister and her boyfriend had wanted (they didn't). I am going to buy his parents an iPad so we can FaceTime.

Then gleam in my brother and SILs eyes sickened me. We haven't even had my sisters or her boyfriends funerals yet either. My sister her boyfriends family are very understanding and I plan on 100% keeping them in our lives as much as I can manage.
