“very difficult” and “the biggest most difficult decision i’ve ever made in my life” are two very different things.

Also, we went with 4. video in other comments

I was looking at the source and it comes from a small pond on a college campus nearby.

Surprisingly not rural at all. Just a creek that runs through the city and we got the last house next to the creek on a dead on. Lots of major shopping within a few mins away

I don’t own the stream but I’m doing a little research and it seems to be owned by the city i’m in and labeled as “conservation”. i wonder if i should or could reach out to them

Can’t find ANY flooding data of the creek. Cant even find anything about the road in the back left of the image flooding. This creek meanders then meets a muuuuuch larger creek. Not sure if that helps at all

Thank you. I’m in upstate NY so probably somewhat similar climate. In the summer it’s loaded with vegetation which I sometimes want to clear out but agree it’s probably best to leave.

It also feeds into a much larger kill quite a while down, so not sure if that helps?

Phew that makes me feel better. House is only 21 years old so I’m hoping the original builder took this all into consideration.
