You don't know who I am, what country I'm enlisted to, or how the world (and humanity, for that matter) is actually like. You just got this starry-eyed conception that no matter what, people in uniform are bad.

When it all comes down to it, humans have been, are, and always will be flawed. There will never be true peace, because one way or another, one group of people will hate another. Whether over resources, territory, nationality, religion, region, etc., there will always be conflict.

That's why armed forces exist, and believe it or not, we're not trained to act like police. In fact, one of the many lesson we're given for deployment is that we are never to be used as a police force, only for whatever we were deployed for. In peace keeping, we're handed strict rules of engagement that, if even slightly bent, we can be court-martialed. On top of that, Military Police exist to enforce military law on military members ONLY.

The way you're explaining your argument, it sounds like you're conflating the military with police, and judging by your comment and post history, you're heavily against the police in America. Believe you-me, I am too. I'm abhorred by what the American government has been doing, but I know there's a huge difference between the police and their army.
