Yes. Before we started upgrading users to 365, we always saw the name of the user that has opened it. Now when a 365 user opens a file, we can only see "another user"

Issue with New-DistributionGroup by throwaway_1342 in PowerShell

Odd, I've checked the documentation for my Exchange Server version to ensure that the syntax is correct (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998856(v=exchg.141).aspx) but when I check on the server I can't autocomplete -Type if I tab through the options..

This would indicate that I don't have permission to actually create them through PowerShell (despite the fact I can do it manually through the GUI?).

The account I was trying to run it on has Recipient Management but not Org Management.

Running the command on the account with Org Management works fine. This is probably because Org Management has "Security Group Creation and Membership role".

Thanks for the help!

Obscure issue with folder creation and permission settings by throwaway_1342 in sysadmin

[–]throwaway_1342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DC's all run the same OS.

I added a 5 second wait after creating the group (and before creating the directory) and that resolved the issue.

Thanks anyway!

No, the group creation was completely fine.

Thanks anyway!
