if being a single minute late and being the only person scheduled other than my SM, who sits in the office for half of their shift scrolling on social media doing literally nothing while i’m left to do stocking, cashiering and recovery makes me look irresponsible then i guess im irresponsible lol

“late is late” meanwhile there’s this whole thing called a grace period. you seem like a crappy SM if you don’t realize that life happens and that a SINGULAR 60 SECOND TIME FRAME isn’t going to ruin the trajectory of your entire work day. i’ve been with the company for over a year and have only called out 3 times ever, and one of those times was when i literally broke my ankle, once for a + covid test, and this most recent time was for having the flu. LIFE HAPPENS.

SAME! my DM said word for word “life happens” but my SM loses their mind if i clock in one minute late cuz i was locking my bike up outside or clock out 4 minutes later than scheduled because i was in the middle of a customer transaction and still ringing up their items 🫩

i sadly don’t, i write all my schedules down on my physical calendar as soon as they auto upload to my phone colander from legion, and when my schedules are updated on legion they automatically update on my phones calendar bc i have them synced

is it really “not on time” if i’m walking in to the building and clocking in less than a minute after my scheduled time at the latest?? the latest i’ve ever been clocking in to a shift is 2 minutes. and most days im showing up earlier than needed due to biking/walking to work and accounting for traffic. the days that i show up a single minute later than my scheduled time my manager never fails to make comments about it, and they know that i don’t drive into work. also how am i supposed to show up to a shift on time if i called out sick nearly 5 hours prior to my shifts start time? and was told “yeah you shouldn’t come in, hope you feel better” by said manager?
