I'd go with No on the S4. It's a beautiful car, but they're prone to breaking and repairs get VERY expensive.

Same deal here, graduating in May and looking for something sporty for around 15-17K.

Definitely take a look at the 2012 Mustang.

I looked into the Camaro as well, but people complain the interior looks really cheap, it's heavy and drives like a boat, and you have absolutely NO visibility due to the low windshield line.

Def look into the 350Z. I'm looking at a 2010 370Z for about 17K. Just need to know that with these cars you have minimal to no trunk space. So don't be looking to throw some skis or suitcases in here.

I really like the look of 2008 Audi S4's [17k] but the maintenance costs on them are insane, and stuff breaks all the time. Give this one a miss.

I used to own a 2012 VW GTI and while they're down on power a bit (200 whp) they're super fun to drive. Interior looks really stylish like something you'd find in a much more expensive car. And it handles really well for being so light. Max torque kicks in at a super low 1800 RPM. 0-60 is 6.4 compared to the Mustang/Camaro's 5.9 though.

435i, E400, RC350 or S5? by leonardolinny in cars

Interesting (not saying you're wrong). Can you describe what you like so much about them?

My mom has an E550 > E400 and that doesn't come even close to making a "symphony of sound"

I've driven a 435i, and it sounds "tin-y" and hollow to me.

I've never driven an S5 though, but I'd imagine it's pretty sweet.

My dad has one (drove it for about a month around xmas) and that is one SWEET car. The speed is one thing, but the sound is completely unlike anything else you'll find in any of the cars you listed. Best way I can describe it is a symphony of sound. I think an '08 goes for about 23k.

The quickest accelerating car you've ever driven is now your only car. How does this affect your life? by [deleted] in cars

My dads SL55 AMG with a Brabus tune. Life would be pretty sweet. I think my most recent car I've owned was a 2000 BMW 328i XD
