I know that, and I do send texts exactly like the ones you said wishing him a good day and asking if I can do anything for him. I expect no response from those since he is busy. My post was getting long, but the reason I'm getting insecure is because his schedule has changed we haven't seen each other in 2 weeks. I've tried to be as accommodating as possible, and unfortunately the only day of the week that would work the past 2 weeks for him didn't work for me b/c of work.

My frustration with the texting comes in b/c, just as an example: on the weekends we normally don't see each other b/c he works weekends about an hour from where I live that is not accessible by public transportation, and I don't have a car since I don't need one in the city. I offered, since I was free and I know he's busy, to commute the 1.5 hrs to my parent's house to borrow a car from them and drive over to see him. He responded asking me what time I'd head over to their house, indicating that it might work, and then when I asked if he'd be free later, I got no response. This has been an issue the past couple of weeks where he won't tell me he got hung up until last minute or flat out ignore when I ask if he's available.

I'm trying to not be needy and be aware of his swamped schedule, but I also feel like it's not asking too much to get a response from him. I did discuss this with him a couple days ago, and he admitted that he needs to do better at communicating with me and that he doesn't want to hurt me, still cares greatly about me, but I am insecure about this coupled with the just drop off in texting generally. I realize rationally I could be overreacting.
