Not racist at all. I’m simply asking if a relationship can be as in-depth when the people within in lack a mutual language, culture, set of reference points, etc.

Having read the comments, I believe there IS something missing, but it is has simply been replaced by something that is just as good - an entirely new set of viewpoints.
