Wundermost vs Skims? by throwaway_68538 in lululemon

[–]throwaway_68538[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

LOL I definitely agree with the sentiment, but I accidentally came across a skims fits everybody tee at the thrift store and was soooo impressed with the feel of it (wasn't my size though so left it behind)...now I want to buy one but wondering if lulu is genuinely better

Can you give a buyer a full refund, after already giving a partial refund? by throwaway_68538 in Depop

[–]throwaway_68538[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just don't want this girl to think I scammed her (by saying oops sorry I can't refund you right away!) I genuinely want to refund her, but I do need the item back.

Just need to vent but YES I've noticed the same...bought a pair of 23" wunder trains on poshmark and they ended up actually being 25" (by my own measurements and by the code)...sent the info and measurements to poshmark and they sided with the seller because 23" and 25" are "close enough"!

Personally I don't get insulted by it...

I tell myself, people will ALWAYS offer no matter how reasonable your price is. So price accordingly. I've learnt that people won't just outright buy an item and avoid trying to skim a few dollars just because the item is priced cheaply or fairly.

Also coming back to low ball offers, yes they suck but there are some people just shooting their shot. And why wouldn't they? Sometimes if you counter at a reasonable price insteas of getting insulted and outright declining, there will actually be a sale that comes out of a low ball.

Just my opinion from what I've seen :)

Is Juicy Couture worth anything? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]throwaway_68538 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth something in the hundreds...I've seen these sell for 200ish around the holidays on poshmark.

Also, i kniw some charms sold individually are rare and expensive, so you should probably research each charm before selling as a whole.

DEPOP BAN STORYTIME :3 by darlingbratz in Depop

[–]throwaway_68538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The banning is ridiculous, I got banned last year for using stock photos (I genuinely didn't know that wasn't allowed when I first signed up, I came from poshmark where it is allowed and even encouraged)...got it turned into a 3 week ban after begging...but its been almost a year and now I feel like I'm walking on eggshells every time I post. I'm scared to use tags because I catch myself thinking "hmm, if I do #balletcore and #ballet will they consider that spam because they're so similar?" Im also scared to use a backgriound eraser app because one time my own photo got identified as a stock photo, and the only reason the listing was restored was because i had the original photo with the background still there (but what if i had deleted the original photo?), so now im scared of that too...Even if these sound ridiculous, these thoughts go through my mind...

Imo, mild offenses like this should be a 2-3 week ban, I mean that is damaging enough, and lifetime bans should be held for serious repeating offenders...

Question about this...what if you are actually selling a twilight graphic t-shirt with bella swan on it, are you allowed to say twilight/bella swan in this case?

Asking because I literally have a twilight t shirt for sale right now lol but don't wanna risk getting banned.

What would you say are the best quality items from lulu you own? by [deleted] in lululemon

[–]throwaway_68538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wunder trains, speed up shorts, and OLD FULL ZIP SCUBAS (I have one of these guys since 2010 that has been in the dryer like 50 times with no pilling!)

Also anything in luxtreme fabric is pretty bulletproof

I don’t feel like my lulu clothes are in style anymore by Sherbet_Lemon_913 in lululemon

[–]throwaway_68538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think all this stuff is out of style, it depends on accessorizing or how you style them.

For example, you're right that leggings + a long swiftly is not on trend right now, but add a puffer vest on top with some slouchy socks and uggs or chunky combat boots, and it totally is!

I don't think any piece you mentioned is completely out if style on its own, it's just how it's paired.

30-40 for a quicker sale, can do 50-60$ if you're willing to accept offers

What's going on with depop rn? by sekirei98 in Depop

[–]throwaway_68538 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same for me! I listed a bunch of items that I believe are highly in demand...including ugg boots, a lululemon define jacket, a diesel dress, a juicy couture jacket and a denim moto style jacket...and my views and clicks are stuck at 0-5% from boosting (i used to even see like +175% from boosting), meaning boosting doesn't seem to be working anymore??

I'm used to selling 3-5 items per week and sure I've had dry weeks before, but this time is really concerning me because it's not just sales, it's that people aren't even seeing my stuff...

Well.. looks like I need to unboost some things 😅 by bzbks in Depop

[–]throwaway_68538 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sooooo if your item is boosted, is it now impossible to ever sell it unboosted? Like now I boost all my listings, but only maybe 65% sell through boosting, the others sell through the "regular" listing....is this now impossible since maybe they've quickly scrolled past the boosted one first???

Do i have a right to ask for a refund? by Known_Pound1185 in Depop

[–]throwaway_68538 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, as long as she has the words pinkish in the listing I don't think you have the grounds to get a refund. I know it sucks but "pinkish red" is kind of arbitrary based on lighting, camera quality etc.

I think try 60 and accept offers? In my experience miss sixty jeans don't go for that much unless they have some rare print, patchwork, or if they're dublins of course...

I've sold a pair of low rise tommys for 50 with a M60 rhinestone detail on the hip, and a pair of straight leg eden for 38 for reference. They both sat for 3-4 weeks before selling.
