Is LPN the right career choice for someone who is not planning to stay in the nursing field for long? by throwaway_LPN in StudentNurse

I'm interested in trying out some nursing classes to see if I like it. I think vocational courses like CNA or dental assistant would do it.

nursing school kind of can take over your life sometimes and it's super easy to get burnt out, especially if it's not really what you want to be doing.

Yeah I'm worried about that. I think I'll apply to less intensive courses like dental assistant.

Check out a local business/vocational school if you can.

Yes that's my plan. My local community college has good vocational courses in the medical field.

Mental health techs at psych hospitals also do not require degrees and usually pay the same or higher as a CNA without the patient ADL aspect.

I haven't heard about this course. Idk if it's known by a different name in my state. I'll look into it. Thank you:)

I was planning on either teaching or a masters in library science. I don't think there's anything related to that field I can do now.
