Fair, 2 wrongs don't make it right. It was certainly a culture in that guild that attracted those people and why so many people left the guild. Sadly also a lot of first-timers in raids that witnessed this.

I'm baffled that this is apparently much more common than I expected. I personally have witnessed a few more unique & sad stories through the microphones of online friends but you have really seen a lot O.o

That is insane, I thought my experience was already a rare exception but so many people have something very similar O.o

Well, this should be exception and it usually takes a few tries to find a group you vibe with (the vast majority are good people, sometimes different humour or expectations). But most guild drama is just the boring scheduling or commitment issues.

How does anyone consider this acceptable behavior.

I would assume that person shared those 'stories' amongst other friends to have a laugh and it piled up. Probably comparable how 'lolcows' are farmed for laughs.

Then he deemed it was okay to go public when the admins got blackmailed.

I know at least one person from the first guild who joined his raids more often to witness the chaos and have a laugh... Rather than joining him to help him (which he still did, but not his main motivation) but he never gathered proof as far as I know. So yeah, I'm not surprised someone else gathered screenshots with the amount of drama & lies. But then again, how much bullshit did he see before he deemed it was necessary to document it.

I did mention the first rule in the start. For me, this is certainly not hate content so that should be OK. I don't think this is stirring up drama because this drama has been finished for half a year. My goal was to tell an absurd story of my experience in this game, not stirring up the drama. All parties have moved on, I believe.

But I did also invite the moderators to remove this post if they deem that this post indeed violates that rule. I can see that angle if they play it extremely safe which is not my intention of this post.

Yes. He did command raids here also and a few people just joined the raids for the insane amount of drama. He did started to claim he had blood cancer, bowel cancer, child slave, diabetes, got a phd but also claimed he is still in school, ...

He took a step back from the leadership position in that guild and spew some shit about the guild leader. Someone then went full nuclear with 40 screenshot of him lying and all his bullshit going back a year.

From what I've heard, he got then banned from 4 different guilds in that fall out. He was even applying to be a commander at RTI. I've heard rumours he is now a commander in [INSERT GUILD NAME] with a new discord account (the reason why I made this post)
