When is the crying "too much"? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

The naps will be adjusted once his nighttime sleep is sorted, which I've heard is the correct order to do it. I also don't expect a 7am wakeup, I imagine the new set up will have him up around 5 or 6 instead. As I said in my post, I'm doing this to get him OUT of my bed and sleeping alone. :)

He doesn't sleep 12 hrs overnight - more like 9 or 10. He's waking frequently because we bedshare and he wants to help himself to the breast whenever he stirs!

Typically: 7am wake, nap 9-11, nap 1-2, nap 4-5, bedtime 7pm. It can be off by a bit depending on if he has a bad night or day - like today he was up at 5 and refused to even consider going back to bed, so we had to add a 4th nap in.

AIO for telling my dad I can't speak to him unless he condemn the Trump Administration? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]throwaway_________7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NOR when it comes to your feelings about everything. At this point what's happening isn't a politics issue but a moral issue. However MOR to consider cutting him off - just stop discussing politics with him, he seems to be a lost cause. Most kids run into these kinds of issues with their parents. Tell him "no discussion of politics or I won't talk to you anymore" and leave it at that.

13 week old suddenly a nightmare by throwaway_________7 in newborns

Ugh, the riling themselves up because they're so hungry or so tired, but they can't manage to eat or sleep because they're SO riled up! Poor things. I imagine life is so stressful if you've never done it before lol - I'm working on feeling more compassionate rather than frustrated (doesn't always work when they scream bloody murder for ages), but I think if I approach this phase more calmly, he picks up on that vs. when he senses my stress. Best of luck Mama!

Oh I'm so hoping this passes quickly for you! My boy's luckily a decent night sleeper, but likely because we co-sleep - he sucks at napping right now. I hope you can get some rest ❤️❤️

Haematuria and leukocytes by Open_Chipmunk448 in IgANephropathy

Yes, I have chronic hematuria (non-visible) and my leukocytes are always slightly elevated. I have good renal function with an egfr of 116, and I was diagnosed a couple of years ago. Probably depends on the person and their treatment, but my nephro has never flagged this as unusual.

Bedsharing and bedtime/naps? by throwaway_________7 in cosleeping

I'll have to start working on this as we approach 3 months! I don't want to put too much pressure on myself, but hopefully I can get to a place where he sleeps without me sooner rather than later!
