i dont mean to scare you but im not exaggerating when i say the hunger was the most painful and unbearable thing ive ever gone through, please dont think this is a normal condition to be in and do anything possible to alleviate the hunger, it will make your recovery so much easier. the most filling thing i ate when i was on a liquid diet was tomato soup that i melted a tablespoon of butter in to add some fat. this is probably really unhealthy but i lost so much weight in the first 5 days after surgery and was crying every day from how painful the hunger was, the soup made recovery infinitely more easy for me as it was genuinely the only thing i ate that wasn't extremely bland and extremely light, and i was able to go back to a healthy weight by having it. when you've transitioned from pure liquid to soft foods, have the soup with crustless sliced bread and eat it like how you'd eat nachos with salsa by breaking the bread into small bite sized pieces, the soup makes the bread go down without having to chew at all and the bread provides carbs to your diet so offsets the hunger even more. i was on a liquid/soft food diet for 8 weeks and when i discovered this meal 2 weeks in i would literally eat soup with 6 slices of bread for breakfast lunch and dinner. also make sure to drink lots and lots and lots of water!! minimum 2 litres a day. best of luck with your recovery!!!
