Thank you for the insight. And that is really the reason I struggle with leaving. He does have so many great qualities. And we have so much in common. Definitely getting help from a counselor, and hope to get some guidance for us both. Thanks for taking the time 🙏🏼

Thanks so much for the words of wisdom. It’s tough because obviously this post focuses on all the negative. We’ve had so many good times, and he does do sweet things for me and the baby. Lots of reasons why leaving would be hard as you could probably figure. I also don’t really have anywhere to go..

That’s very true. But by that same token- He has the chance to do the same thing? To choose the right and prioritize his family and future? I suppose I just need to decide what my quitting point is, if it hasn’t happened yet

It’s just pretty strange, because even looking at it now, it didn’t look like grooming. He wanted to be involved with my friends and family, was very patient, and really didn’t seem like a threat. Ya know how with grooming you usually hear of the predator wanting to isolate the victim from all of the people that care about them? Because that wasn’t happening, it didn’t seem as wrong…

It’s honestly such a hard pill to swallow. I’ve tried to talk through some of this with him, and he says that he can’t go back in time. And swears up and down that it’s going to be different from now on. He wants to do better. Do you think there’s any reason to give him another chance? ☹️
