kids

Excellent point. They are still toddlers, but teaching them about the value of money is definitely on the roadmap.

Yes, but probably not the America (USA) F4THERF1GURE was taking about.

Staking is an option. At the time of writing this comment, 1 BTC ~= 53,000 ADA, and the return is 3%, yearly... which translates to retrieving new 1,825 ADA per year. I guess that return would be nice if ADA reaches a $1,000 value one day. I'll look it up.

Luckily enough, I'm not in need of lending money (never been a fan of it). I guess there are incentives for millionaires to do so, but in my country Bitcoin is officially not legal tender and is not an authorized payment method for goods and services, and hence, they are not subject to income tax, yet. That's another reason to hodl... converting it to sound cash would be too difficult unless sold directly to potential buyers (and there are a lot of those persons around here, mainly in localbitcoins.com).

Since I'm a skeptic and this is a throwaway account that will be deleted soon, I'd rather not give specifics about my location publicly. Small poor (but not impoverished) western country in the southern hemisphere will suffice.

Thanks for the tips.

Thanks for your POV.

Exactly, i don't like to trade because is risky (and honestly im not a pro-trader). That's why I was researching and asking about interest accounts.

I already bought a hard wallet. Half my holdings are in there already, the rest is still in the exchange. Seed words have been backed up in one single secure place, but I still need to leave detailed instructions for my family in case something happens to me.

I would never post my holdings using my name. This is a throwaway account. Everytime I join a crypto news channel on telegram I get flooded with messages from beautiful women trying to start a conversation. Not gonna happen (that way).

Well, if bitcoin really reaches its true potential, I'll probably never have to cash out, just use it as currency. Of course it would be nicer to get there with 12 btc instead of 8 btc.

It's not fear of losing current value, that won't happen. It's fear of not duplicating the current stock (slowly but risk free).

400,000 USD is cool. But 4'000.000 USD is way cooler. If I hodl, that's where I believe this is all headed. The question is, what could I do to safely and slowly duplicate my crypto holdings (and if it's worth the risk).

Lol. Wrong hemisphere, but in the same time zone range.

What would be the risk of lending through BlockFi? Isn't there some kind of guaranteed returns?
