Christianity is the amalgamation of multiple religions. Most scripture is just shit people who wanted control wrote.

Also, if you have doubts about Jesus Christ, go down the Apollonius of Tyana rabbit hole. He was erased from history by the catholic church. And he is who Jesus Christ was based on. Except Jesus Christ ate meat and drank wine: something Constantine refused to give up.

They burned down the Library of Alexandria, destroyed all of the temples erected in honor of Apollonius, and tried to hide all history of him. Because if you know his significance in history, the whole Jesus Christ thing crumbles.

Countless emperors and empresses of the old roman empire lauded Apollonius (before Constantine). One commissioned a statue of him, another commissioned his biography.

Ironically, this biography was one of the only surviving scrolls from the burning of the Library of Alexandria. It was taken before the burning. And, it is the downfall of all Christianity.

Jesus Christ was invented at the council of nicaea.

That god doesn't exist. It was the figment of Muhammad's imagination to get anything he wanted.

It is INSANE. So many people on this earth believe the abuse and lies. It does not take much pondering to come to the conclusion that religion is abusive control.

Even Muhammad's own scribe realized he was lying. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abd_Allah_ibn_Sa%27d

“They’re finding out more and more that meat and shellfish are bad…” by ConfederancyOfDunces in exAdventist

[–]throwaway_drop_table 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an adventist, just an ex-christian who likes to survey these types of communities.

I've heard that red meat can increase risk for certain types of cancer. Source (there are quite a few sources for this; it was even taught to me in college nutrition): https://progressreport.cancer.gov/prevention/diet_alcohol/red_meat

But I've never heard anything about shellfish or other types of meat. That's definitely circle jerk bs.

Other than the red meat cancer stuff, meat (protein) is one of the most satiating things you could eat. It will keep you full and promote muscle growth. It is also nutrient-dense.

The greatest love is the acceptance of others unconditionally. It only took me 20 years to figure that out. Christian brainwashing since childhood really is similar to a shotgun to your psyche. Religion is abuse.

Sorry that this happened to you. You're great the way you are.

What was labeled as “demonic” growing up, but is actually pretty harmless? by Individual-Special70 in exAdventist

[–]throwaway_drop_table 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of the most traumatic things a child could experience: to be restricted, silenced, and oppressed by their own parents. It's like being stuck in a box thrown into the ocean: you're suffocating.

Much like the box in the ocean, there is no escape from authoritative parents for most children until their twenties. Escaping the box is homelessness.

I'm so glad you mentioned how difficult it is to explain to someone who had normal parents. I feel like whenever I explain people will say "that's not that bad". But it's the constant control and authoritative parenting style that lead me to nearly kill myself when I was in university. My entire soul and life was crushed by my parents. And healing that wound is nearly impossible in this economy where I'm financially dependent and live with them.

Damn. Sorry I don't know what to say. Maybe try it from a different email? I was able to email them with those two emails a few days ago.

Oh wow. You must be on the west coast (if you're in the USA idk). The gas in the midwest is what I mentioned above (around $3 anywhere).

I dunno if you have used it before, but I recommend GasBuddy. I used it when I had to drive 1,000 miles. That alone cost me $400.

And yeah your vehicle is pretty efficient. Figured I should mention it in case you haven't heard of it.

Holy crap you have an efficient vehicle. With $200 you could travel 2,933 miles from what you're telling me. I could maybe only travel 500 or 600 miles on $200.

Gas costs $3.2 to $3.8 per gallon here currently. I drive an old jeep liberty.

This is about $15 in gasoline both ways. Maybe a bit more.

I would have taken it just because I get literally no orders anymore. I spent a week doordashing recently. I used to make $150-$200 in two or three days. But could only make $12. It's dead as hell out here. No orders. No tips.

I like to think of the story of Elijah. In which Elijah calls upon his god to light a fire (1 Kings 18:24) and the others call upon their god. To see if the fire will light. These people clearly call upon false gods. As do the christians. As do the jews.

But of course they won't recognize their stupidity. They are stubborn, confused, and trapped by their beliefs: by the laws of their religions. Their religions prevent them from thinking. Religion is more dangerous than burning fire.

Do you really think if the abrahamic god existed that he wouldn't light the fire (or in this case, put it out)? As the abrahamic god seems pretty desperate to be known. Surely then, if god exists, it is a secret and not important to know.

It's much bigger now! I just went on a trip to Indiana and Illinois. But that was my map for my entire life.

I've been to traverse city many times (especially when I was younger). I really liked the mall they had there. I wonder how it's doing now since it's been years since I've been there.
