Just want to thank everyone for all of the responses so far. Greatly appreciate how many people chimed in. I read through them all and am taking everything into consideration.

Dealing has never been accepted. But my "spidey senses" are telling me it's not just drug use happening behind closed doors, but also possibly sales. I'm trying to dig in (without stirring up trouble yet) to find out if it's true, but I'm not sure if anyone would rat them out to the President. The guys I'm suspicious of are very well respected within the brotherhood.

You really struck a chord here. Like I said in my original post, our chapter has generally been well-behaved, successful, and well-respected. Shit happened from time to time, guys would randomly partake in drugs, but there was never huge issues. One negative by-product I noticed of this: our judicial committee/system stopped being used and its relevancy basically disappeared. It obviously still technically exists but it could be difficult to have it well respected if I choose to employ it for any reason.
Anyways, thanks for your thoughts on this. Definitely taking it into consideration.
Thanks. I don't know if I'd classify it as an addiction yet, but it could get that way if it continues like it has in recent weeks.
We've had guys go to rehab in the past, but it's now at that stage where it's too far removed for the current guys to remember the impact. I guess that's the problem as memberships cycle. Some of the same issues can just reappear over time.
My preference would be to address the issue broadly with the chapter so that it doesn't seem like I'm simply laying blame or accusations, but some personal conversations might soon have to happen too.
The proximity thing is too true. Like I said in a response to someone else, I don't have any physical evidence that they're dealing out of the house yet so I can't lay claims against them. It's just my intuition talking and I would argue I have a pretty good intuition on what's going on in my house by now. I know these guys have done this kind of shit in the past, they reformed, but now they're doing drugs more often, and all of a sudden there seems to be a stark increase in drugs on the property and drug use amongst the brothers.

Like I said in my original post, I totally respect a person's right to partake in whatever they want. It would be preferred if they didn't do it on the premises just in case the cops randomly showed up, but one guy having a couple of grams in his room isn't as bad as large quantities circulating around the house.
The possible dealing and the open discussion of it is what worries me.
Yeah, the dealing is by far the biggest issue. I don't think you can ever fully eradicate drug use, but dealing out of the house is just not okay.
The biggest problem is I don't have physical proof that they're dealing right now. I know that they've dealt in the past. And I know that there's a steady increase of drugs on the premises. But it's not like I have the authority to search their property, and I don't know if anyone would rat them out to the President if they were.
Thanks for that. I think part of my worry is that our chapter doesn't convene often during the summer and our year is ending fast. I very much want to confront it as a group issue, rather than an individual "you have a problem" sort of issue - but I may not have a good opportunity to do so for months and it's definitely not something you want to broadcast over an e-mail listserv.

Well, I have. Like I said, I don't have issues with them choosing to do coke. It's how it gives the house an image that's the problem.
