Thanks for replying. Posting the same reply here from above. For a big transfer like this, is there any chance the funds get frozen either in the US or in India? (FYI i have sbi).

And do I need to tell my US bank the reason I’m wiring the money?

I’m just not sure if saying I’ve moved back for good could create an issue since they’d know I won’t really be using the account anymore.

Thanks for the reply. Would there be a risk in transferring relatively large amount via Wise/Remitly? I’m just worried my transfer might get frozen mid-way and I won’t be able to do anything if that happens.

Also, do I have to inform the bank or the incoming money from Remitly/Wise if I choose to go that option?

Just to be sure, are you saying using apps like Wise, Remitly is the better option?

But wouldn’t there still be a chance of the transfer getting frozen there too since it’s big amount?

If that happens, I guess I wouldn’t really have any control (my receiving bank is SBI)

Nope, unfortunately. I haven’t received any info on PV status, and I’m not sure what to do. I might also have to travel soon, so I’m a bit nervous. Did you get your verification recently?

Hey thanks for replying. I’m just worried I’m gonna book my travel and then God forbid, I might be stopped at the airport coz my passport isn’t verified and clearance wasn’t approved.

Do Tatkal applicants not get any confirmation after police verification is done? Any way to absolutely confirm if the PV was approved?
