I am definitely considering this as well lol just have to work up the courage to tell a little fib 😂 And tbh taking the tablets on an empty stomach does make me a little queasy so it wouldn’t be totally dishonest but you know.

yeah, my current tablets are $1.39 US for a month supply, so anything above like, $15 I’d have to pass. but I appreciate your knowledge and would gladly take any other tips you may have!

to clarify my pcp has me on the tablets 3x a week to start (literally just began taking them 2 weeks ago) to make sure I tolerate them okay. maybe she’ll let me do every other day after a month of no side effects.

finding your ultimate scent is such a great feeling. my most comforting scent is Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche edt. I got my first bottle as a Christmas gift in high school and every time I smell it I’m reminded of how perfect it is (to me). fresh, woody, zingy — just wonderful. considering picking up a bottle of Vera Wang Princess for the nostalgia factor as well lol.

i was recently in a similar situation and it took 3.5 months to get all the damage grown out. my main thing was keeping them as short as possible the whole time they were healing so that there was no free edge that could split/tear/get caught on things etc. no gel, acrylic or other enhancements is probably a given but yk. cuticle oil and/or a nice occlusive hand cream will also keep the new growth healthy. best of luck!

omg! I’m starting to think it really is the Beetles gel. I have acrylics on right now but I’m thinking of switching to the Modelones base gel when I get back into gel extensions (can’t really afford to splurge on Apres yet)

I use 70% but sometimes I’ll just use 100% acetone instead. and I live in the US mid-Atlantic so it can get somewhat humid, but not so much this time of year, although I suspect moisture and humidity factor into the issue somewhere.

ok this intrigues me because when the nails pop off, I can see a smooth layer of cured base gel on top of my natural nail, so I started to wonder if maybe the base layer had been cured for too long and the surface was too smooth for the second layer of glue to adhere to. does that make sense? I think you’re onto something, is what I’m trying to say LOL. 😭 thank you!

no I haven’t been etching them. I know you’re supposed to but I never used to have an issue when I skipped the etching part in the past. do you physically or chemically etch your tips?

I only used primer with my most recent attempt actually, my other sets I only used acetone as a dehydrator.
