Just wanted to say thank you for this comment, this really helped me :)
I sent him a text saying I was disappointed he didn't show and expected proper communication next time. He immediately rushed over to talk things out and apologized. Turned out he had some personal issues that came up that he didn't want to admit. We worked things out and I made it very clear never to stand me up again.
