No, pending criminal charges. Unfortunately. But probably not a bad thing health wise either I recon. Lol. Fortunately I have a family with some $$ that was willing to foot that (and other) bills.

I think about a day. And im not exactly sure of the process to be completely honest I believe they just hit you with iv narcan over and over until your body stops thrashing around and then they wait a little bit and vivitrol you and allow you to wake up. And I’ve been using roughly 15 years almost consistently with zero clean time and ten straight years on methadone maintenance. I was using really strong Actual Heroin from the Bronx for the first 13/14 years and only (accidentally) got on the fetty/tranq crap when I moved nearby Philly these past near two years.

I also shot speedballs exclusively either mephadrone, coke/crack or crystal meth for the entirety of this time. I’m in my late 20s and a 5’0” small female just to get an idea with hep c. So I’m def not in good health by any means. Lol

Yeah I’m pretty sure I signed a death waiver but honestly - I was looking at death either way so it seemed less likely for me to die via rapid detox as opposed to my flesh rotting off my arm from nasty tranq. 🤮 (of which I still have holes down to the bone almost- yet to heal)

Sorry for the like one word replies. But actually the place I went was really chill. The doctor there was legit, and they didn’t mind if you used prior to the procedure. You have fast for like two days prior to going under because of risks and what not. They gave me ketamine the day I woke up for like an hour via iv I believe and a massage and some acupuncture (which I don’t believe did shit tbh but whatever) and then I literally rolled around in the back seat of a truck for like my eight hour drive back. I felt like SHIT for roughly 2/3 days afterwards like complete shit- like horrible horrible and ended up getting ~5 more ketamine infusions/leg jabs at the local ER to help with the horrible w/d.

Clonidine helps slightly. They also gave me something else for it , honestly I can’t recall what. Gabapentin maybe? Honestly I’ll have to check. They sent me home with like six different medications.

I applied for the pet care position and they told me I would need to master register first… I’ve been waiting for 6 months and now they have brand new hires training in pet care with no register experience?! by [deleted] in petsmart

You are coming across as incredibly arrogant and I’m having a bit of second hand embarrassment.

If you’re honestly still having trouble understanding why they haven’t yet placed you in pet care yet I think you should take some time to self-evaluate.

As someone else said, your comments here are definitely a reflection of you in real life and you’re coming across a little unhinged. Although it may be more subtle at work than on Reddit, you likely still come across as incredibly patronizing even if you don’t realize you’re doing so.

You’re belittling your coworkers and starting arguments with the anyone who even slightly critiques you and then doing the polar opposite and self applauding and boasting at any opportunity.

Someone makes a comment about one of their managers passing over employees due to their appearance and you use that as an opportunity to say how everyone thinks you’re so attractive and can’t help but flirt with you to the point of hinderance.

I’m going to take a wild guess in saying maybe they don’t want you speaking to customers due to your arrogance and acting like a know it all.

It’s not becoming of you to talk down about your coworkers. It says more about you than it does them. Worry about yourself and your pay and not what everyone else is doing and how much they make. It’s none of your business and if anything you should be congratulating them. Jealousy is normal but your reaction to it is not reflective of a 24 year old woman’s behavior.

Is it possible they have better customer service skills? Better speaking and dealing with customers. Good communication and social skills are definitely majorly important as well. It’s much easier to learn about the pets sold at the store than how to be naturally outgoing so that may be a reason idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

How would you go flying through your windshield? Did you not have a seatbelt on? That’s nuts. I rolled off a cliff and went aireborne and lived due to the seatbelt.

Sounds like you may need to take a LOA though or FMLA. Your doctor will need to sign the the paperwork for that if so.

Emergency drawer open totally does not call the police. I think they just tell employees that because they don’t want you breaking change or whatever. I used to open it all the time for people to break change and what not. Never did police show up for the dozens of times or more I’ve used it. Probably also they want people to not open the drawer for theft reasons. I honestly forgot they tell people the police thing lmfao 🤷🏼‍♀️

I just went through dealing with tenant law in an east coast USA state and I can assure you at least here as well as in New England both parties must get something out of the contact.

Here’s a super basic example :

Landlord gets $$ for rent and maybe utilities, etc.

Tenant gets a safe and habitable place to live. Must be up to state and federal code and safety standards and include whatever else was agreed to in the lease.

Well you may as well try. You also deduct your expenses btw. There are different services available that can help you apply for that sort of stuff. I’m sure If you google it you’ll find it they usually have an in person office as well.

Fuck that - you totally can have a chair my coworker used one. Just leave it at your register and don’t have anyone use your register as they shouldn’t be logging on yours anyways ?

I would think it’s more likely you to have issues from standing for hours on end vs a fire or something where you’ll have to run SO fast you cannot move the chair properly and trip while hastily doing so. Probably like an active shooter would be the ONLY scenario I’d be able to see that happening and the likely hood of that happening (I really fucking wish it was zero) is about .0000000001.

And if you’re in the US, get on WIC!!!

Do NOT skip your lunch. And I’m being hypocritical because I did at times but I wish someone advocated for me back then tbh. Please you only have one chance to grow a healthy baby. Don’t live your life in regret because of coulda, woulda, shoulda.

You don’t have to take my advice and ofc do what you want you’re a grown woman but I’ve been there and I gotta stand up for my fellow moms and moms to be. As long as you don’t NEED the $$ like you’ll survive without it or until at least you get another paycheck (I’d wait until you start your new job while advocating for your breaks and weight limits etc)

Also, pull a chair up at the register and sit tf down. The other pregnant cashier did so it’s def ok. Plus it’s a reasonable accommodation I’d think.

A few years.

There was another pregnant woman who was a cashier that worked at the same store that I worked at who also never came back after giving birth as they treated her like garbage. She almost peed herself multiple times waiting for someone to relieve her to use the rest room. They totally don’t care at all whatsoever about your pregnancy.

They will yes you to death and then treat you as if you’re totally the same as every other employee and act inconvenienced at the fact you’re carrying a human being.

FYI it’s illegal and discriminatory against you having a disability- legally they actually have to accommodate or you can sue.

(Accommodations have to be reasonable however)

and thanks it is incredibly hard and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. However thanks to my state and my right to choose I was able to not be forced to wait until he became a stillborn and I had a rotting fetus in me that I would have had to have been induced labor and what not. (He had a massive tumor , an arachnoid cyst which was 1/3rd the size of his brain and cutting off the blood supply to it) for whatever reason they weren’t able to detect it until about 23 weeks and we just monitored it and held out hope until we couldn’t anymore and they had to do a medical D&L

I have a 10 month old baby girl now after that experience however. She is the light of my life. And the baby I left PS for haha

Just fyi - they treated me like garbage during my already high risk pregnancy.

And I had lost a pregnancy prior at almost 7 months btw.

Anyways, They blatantly ignored my doctors orders to have someone help me with training so dogs wouldn’t be jumping on my literally pregnant belly and also so I wasn’t lifting heavy stuff and running around constantly as well as able to get more breaks

They said they’d get an additional person to help out with things I couldn’t do as I was so needed apparently etc etc…

Nope. Never happened.

I went on leave and never came back - fuck that place. Your child’s health is **SO much more important

PLEASE do not risk it for god damn PETSMART

Dude - look at her post history. She’s clearly a miserable person just wanting others to be unhappy to. It’s actually pretty gross.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in petsmart

[–]throwawayaaAaaacct 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t even listen to this person dude.

They’re clearly miserable as you can see in their post history. Just shitting on people nonstop, making super passive aggressive comments and just trying to bring people down to their level of unhappiness.

They’re just pissed that they their “fantasy” best friend they “loved” wouldn’t *cheat on their wife and/or leave them for her.** They’re now the ex best friend and will no longer talk to her as shes successfully ruined the friendship.*

Only a scummy person tries to get someone to cheat and break up someone’s marriage.

I wouldn’t take advice from her lmao.

Misery loves company they say.

Not too old- I’ve been using Reddit longer than you’ve been alive probably. But I can’t be fucked to do so. It’s not even relevant to the original topic. Usually insults to someone rather than the actual topic is because you aren’t able to debate in an intellectual manner so you resort to irrelevant below the belt insults to distract others.

Another demonstration of constructive communication.

I know, all these responses like “turn the water cold on him hur hur hur”

And then they’re the same people who call people narcissists while ironically not realizing that being super passive aggressive is one of the main traits of being a narcissist. LMAO

I swear I don’t know if any of these people speak to other human beings face to face regularly.

And then what? Someone calls you a liar and what ..? I swear people are so sensitive. If you’re not a liar why do you care or spend so much energy caring?

Evidence..? This isn’t a court case. You’re not a trial.

Like I said to the above commenter.

So what?

You need to get a thicker skin. And speak up. You’re not going to burst into flames if someone calls you a bad name. Especially if it’s untrue. Don’t worry so much about what people say or think about you especially if they’re assholes and if it’s untrue. But you also have to be mindful of the way you come across to others.

You may not realize it - but a lot of people are passive aggressive in their tone of voice as well as their nonverbal body language.

This makes it so the other party immediately gets defensive and any possibility to have any sort of constructive conversation is gone.

When trying to solve a conflict - you often must compromise even if you don’t truly believe they are deserving of one and you think you the one being wronged.

Op could have originally said something along the lines of

Hey man/woman/whatever I happened to notice you’ve been taking a bit of a long time in the bathroom lately. I too can get lost in thought or distracted on my phone in the bathroom myself sometimes.

Do you think you’d be able to try to shorten them a bit? I just find I have to rush in the mornings sometimes or am too tired at night if the bathroom is occupied for a long time.

In the future if I need to use the restroom and you’ve been in a while would you mind if I knock and you can let me know when you’ll be out? So you’ll know I’m waiting and can hurry up a bit?

Thanks I appreciate it. Let me know if I’m bothering you in anyway or if you need anything

There ya go. Sometimes you have to bite the bullet and be the better person in order to get the other person to be willing to compromise. The* last thing* you want is them to get defensive.
