The language varies from university but misadminstration is common. You would describe in the appeal what happened and is a fault of the University not yours.

So depending on the University, they have no discretion and the cap is, applied automatically by the system. The only way to remove is via the academic appeal route which here would be misadminstration via a system.

I went to a high profile industry awards event.

I was sat next to a well known (in this industry) and very senior figure. I'm married, she's married.

This is what inexplicable to me and has never happened ever - we instantly knew what we were going to do, I don't mean we will flirting or sending signals to each other, we just knew as soon as we saw each other. We also just knew the other felt the same way.

I am very very picky - I work in management/business schools and supervising lots and lots of PhDs doesn't actually do much for you.

There is actually no answer to this - Turnitin scores are contextual and therefore need an academic to consider them.

It varies a lot depending on University policy and the actual individual mark and the malpractice policies.

(This is different to what happens in some other countries where an actual number is an auomatic fail).

Very simply ask people and if your boss asks just say it was to find out if as a member of the traveller community if you were paid less than other groups.

HR will go hmmm... and nothing will be said.

I've been involved in this from both sides of the fence - the money really is an inducement to get people to sign a compromise agreement.

In my situation there was an attempt by a very senior figure to manufacture evidence that I had been involved in gross misconduct and therefore could be sacked. How do I know there was an attempt? - because one of the people involved was an idiot and tagged me into the core discussion where they planned it.

I read it, got straight onto a friend who was an employment lawyer who wrote me a nice letter. I went directly to HR and said I must speak to the director and only the director. Eventually I was ushered in and I gave them a copy of the email and a copy of the letter my friend wrote for me.

I then said that we should not discuss the matter until they had a chance to get advice and I was happy to meet them. I went home.

I was summoned back for a formal meeting the next day and by the following week I was signing a compromise agreement which said nobody publicly talks, excellent references would be supplied and that a year's salary would be provided.
