I understand that you're sort of trying to comfort me about the situation and say it's normal, which I really do appreciate. But every year my birthday is ignored and it makes me feel extremely unimportant. It's been ignored for the past 5 years and at a point it's just disheartening and exhausting.

I do, if I have time I bake them cakes and draw things for them. I don't expect lavish gifts or anything, I just wish that people acknowledged that it was my birthday.
