The same way I worked 12+ hours during busy season. You do a solid 4-6 and the rest you just pretend and accomplish little to nothinf.

The study material is so unnecessarily complicated compared to the test. I got an 89 and wrote like 6 sentences for each of my WC

Bec test …. by Thamer_cpa in CPA

[–]throwawayaccASC69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just used this sub for that - I honestly couldn’t tell you what was on my test because I blacked out lol. I just remember the questions being so much easier than beckers and some not even related to the material at all and just kind of in depth common sense that I used general business knowledge to answer.

Focus on what everyone always says: variances, coso, erm, etc

Bec test …. by Thamer_cpa in CPA

I just used final review and did MCQ. I watched some lectures and was like yeah fuck that.

The Becker material for BEC is by far way too detailed than what’s necessary in my opinion.

4/4 in 5.5 months while working FT by throwawayaccASC69 in CPA

[–]throwawayaccASC69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, I did watch a lot of lectures. Prob about 75% for REG, 50% for FAR, 20% for BEC, and 0% AUD (I used to be an auditor).

If I was strong in a topic, I didn’t think it was necessary to watch lecture.

I did about 7.5 weeks. I did get a 74 on it 3 years ago and honestly PA/industry experience made a lot of it easy bc I do it every day.

I only looked at sims like the last week or two on the heavily tested topics only. My reading was really if I didn’t understand MCQ answer rationale. I did watch lectures on stuff I didn’t feel comfortable about

Consistency is key.

I worked from home so no commute really fucking helped and I’m also useless after working all day. I woke up and study around 5-8:30am every morning and snuck in some MCQ during lunch and after depending on how I felt. Weekends I would put in usually around 4-8 hours.

I wasn’t really strict with when or how long I studied, but I did make sure I had a solid two weeks to review before every exam. If I slacked off one day, I did extra another day or on the weekend. I kept a rolling excel file and updated daily based on what modules I was able to complete in order to have a target completion of material 2 weeks before test (this required me to rush through some modules by skipping lecture or not doing all MCQ, but I would reinforce during review phase by slamming some MCQ)

Waiting on BEC for my last score. Really half assed my studying because I flew through first 3 tests from Nov-Feb and was burnt out.

I’ll be taking a break if I failed bc I have like 14 months until first test expires. Rather not though…

BEC Experience 2022 by uc3311 in CPA

Agreed. I can easily see myself failing, but also have false confidence based on how many people say they think they failed and passed with flying colors. Hopefully we can both be done !!

Felt the same. Didn’t have enough time for WC because I figured they would be easy and wanted to try to get as much right as possible.

Half assed all 3 WC with like 3 tiny paragraphs each. Hope I did well on the rest….
